Jump Square (ジャンプスクエア Janpu Sukuea, commonly known as Jump SQ) is a monthly shounen Japanese manga anthology published in Japan by Shueisha under the Jump line of magazines aimed at young male readers. It is published by Shueisha and made its debut on November 2, 2007, succeeding Monthly Shōnen Jump, another manga collection that Shueisha ceased publishing in June of the same year. Jump Square is a part of the broader Jump magazine lineup. The manga series serialized in this magazine are subsequently compiled into volumes under the Jump Comics SQ. label. Shueisha has noted that Jump Square's readership typically spans from ages 15 to 34. The current editor-in-chief as of 2015 is Kôsuke Yahagi.
About Phantom Busters[]
Phantom Busters, a youth comedy following four high school boys fighting evil spirits, debuted in the September edition of Jump Square (Shueisha) released on August 4th. The story revolves around Eugene Korekishi, an exceptional student who rescues Mogari Shishikuno from drowning on the day of their school's entrance ceremony. Eugene agrees to help Mogari explore haunted places in town, leading to unexpected events.
This issue also features a double-sided poster showcasing the TV anime "Rurouni Kenshin - Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story" and "Dark Gathering." In the upcoming October release of Jump Square on September 4th, a new series titled "Cardboard Bachelor" by Ryohta Iikari, based on Natsuo Shoji's story, will premiere.
