Phantom Busters (Japanese: ファントムバスターズ Hepburn: Fantomu Basutāzu) is a comedic, supernatural, and horror-themed Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Neo Shoco. It commenced its official serialization in the September Issue of Jump SQ on August 4, 2023.
Plot[]
Eugene, a high school student, initially didn't believe in ghosts because his grandmother's promise of returning as a spirit after death remained unfulfilled from his childhood.
He meets Mogari, a descendant of spiritual mediums, who attends a regular high school but is required by his family to conduct exorcisms in Kamakura, a place known for spirits gathering.
Despite being unable to see spirits, Eugene is moved by Mogari's personality and, although skeptical about spirits, wants to trust Mogari. Eventually, he joins "Phantom Busters," a club specializing in exorcisms.

Phantom Busters is an evil spirit exorcism coming-of-age comedy featuring four high school boys. Additionally, this issue includes double-sided posters of TV anime adaptations: Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story, based on the original work by Nobuhiro Watsuki, and Dark Gathering, based on the original work by Kenichi Kondo. In the September 4th release of the October issue of Jump SQ, a new serialization titled Cardboard Bachelor by Ryouta Yorimitsu, based on the original work by Natsuo Shouji, will commence.

The manga initially debuted as a one-shot which was featured in Jump SQ.RISE 2022 AUTUMN Issue on October 26, 2022. Initially, the concept revolved around four high school boys with partial psychic abilities where the four of them are trying to buy a PS5. The one-shot spans a total of 48 pages.
